This is so true, I have used Vater drumsticks for 30 yrs, and I got fixated on getting a endorsement and signed with Collison drumsticks. I played one song with the sticks and they broke. I through them in the corner and haven't even thought about an endorsement. I'm not there yet to be able to sign with Vater. I'm not gonna switch to an inferior product just say I got an endorsement. Lesson learned. Great video!

Completely disagree. If anything, a 10" tends to give off a sympathetic buzz from the snare drum.

A couple of days ago, I was thinking the same thing about rudiments, that's why and how drummer use them even if they don't know they are o don't know the names , I've heard drummers saying they don't know any rudiments and then proceed doing a groove with RLRR, or using a double at the end of the single (which is another rudiment) to change hands accents

Yeah, I'm not a musician. I never played an instrument. Now I play real drums to scrolls. I started playing at 47, I'm 54 now and this is great exercise for me. I have a couple of videos posted.

It's a trend, don't kid yourself. I play in rural idaho, in the last year I've seen multiple local drummers switching to a really high ride. And there's only about ten of us regularly working drummers in the area. Mine has even come up just from watching Kill Tony lol

Our drummer just picked up the Alesis Strata Prime. It sounds great and we're now all on in-ears and modeling amps, for stage audio control. (It's way easier to hear yourself and drummers who sing backups like he does don't have to sing as loud because their mics pick up WAY less from the digital drums.) QUESTION: Is there a way to add a front graphic? Like a standard front head on the kick? Or is that going to need a physical attachment slightly separate from the front head because of any internal hardware? (Yet another badass video, by the way.)

I used to have your same opinion but these are the benefits (while looking geeky) but hey boxers, mma fighters, football players, soccer goalies etc. have gloves in their field. 1. Finer grip on sticks, rods, mallets etc. 2. Reduces problems from sweaty palms 3. Prevents most blisters and calluses 4. Prevents injury from cymbal choking 5. Could be fashionable down the road 6. Help stand out in a world of artificiality 7. Reduction of Hand Fatigue (got this from internet not sure) 8. Hygiene and Sweat Absorption (got this from internet not sure) 9. Prevent injury from hand drumming 10. Keep hands warm in cold (hands numb = stiff) 11. Shock Absorption????? 12. Prevent pain from hitting hand preventing a beat miss

Hey mate. One point about rudiments on feet here. Most of the time, rudiments would only come in the form of double strokes or single strokes. Double strokes are normally used during heel-toe technique whereas single strokes would normally be used for swivel or flat foot type techniques. I reckon rudiments would be used more in conjunction with foot techniques in order to not burn out your muscles, especially for players playing at faster tempos. That’s my only thought
